I’ve recently made the decision to launch my own brand, entitled Re.Habit. Several months back, I posted New Avenues, discussing how I wished to start my own advertising business. I’ve sat on the idea for all this time, hoping something would happen — but as with many things in life, I found I was making it much more difficult than it is to start the business.
Whenever I’m creating, I think outside the box. Earlier this month, I cut up 7-9 t-shirts because I cannot afford even the cheapest yoga mat. [So far, this is working out excellently! I’m very excited to have it. It’s soft and the floor hasn’t broken my knees…] So when it came time to name my brand, I tried to think what would best suit both my advertising business and my shop. I wanted them to be connected, yet different ‘departments’ if you will. I chose Re.Habit because the best way to get rid of a bad habit is to replace or repurpose it — or rehabit it.
The shop isn’t fully functional just yet. I need to get a few materials ready before I can start selling my own handmade goods again. I enjoy making eclectic jewelry and accessories. I crochet, both with my fingers and a set of hooks. So for starters, you’ll find a lookbook of my products and progress on my Instagram account — they’ll be tagged #rehabitcrafted. Those immediately for sale will have a price in the description. You’ll also be able to purchase items using Instagram or the Facebook page.
My advertising business is launching as of now. It is strictly for purveyors of handmade products and small mom & pop shops. I’ve never been able to afford my own advertising for my own Etsy shop[s] in the past, so I wanted to offer an affordable option to my fellow creatives. Orders may be placed by emailing me, or click through the Instagram page. You may read all about my advertising services here. Feel free to ask any questions.
If you’re looking to be a part of any of the above, please feel free to sign up for my new mailing list. I will not spam you, beg you for money, or advertise via the mailing list. It is for updates, exclusive content, news, and blog-related things. I may occasionally let you know if I’m running a discount or something, but really, it’s more of a way for me to better connect with y’all. There will also be pet-spam, so if you like emails chocked with exploits of the fabulous and furry, definitely beat a path to the signup form.
Thank you for reading!
